Creating Search Engine Friendly Themed Content

Gone are the days where you can repeat your keyword to achieve what was “keyword” density and have your page rank. Today it’s much easier, but deeper thought and writing skills are required to achieve a top result. The new mantra is “theme density” and the example below will explain how to achieve it for your entire website where ranking matters.

To start, go to:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Enter your search term (bipolar disorder) and click “Get Keyword ideas”. You will get a list of keywords, and then another list of additional keywords. Download the text file for both of these lists:

I look through these keyword lists and write down words that I think will appear in articles about bipolar disorder alternative treatments for children MORE often than the law of averages would have them. When you combine the two lists, you get 123 LSI words:

I list them alphabetically as I go, so I avoid writing down the same word twice. This list of 123 LSI words should be all you ever need for the articles you write, whether it’s for article directories or for your blog. I like to make about 10% of the words in the article LSI words. So if it’s a 500-word article, that means about 50 words should be from this list.

You can certainly use some more than once … but not much more, because Google will decide you are a word spammer if you use a word too much. You’re probably safe if you don’t go over 1% for any single word. (I.e., a word can appear 5 times in a 500-word article.)

I write my article first, then I go back over and edit it to include at least 10% of the words on my LSI words list. It really beefs up the article, too.Bottom of Form
