3 Ways to Spend Your Holiday Down Time

The holidays are fast approaching!

Many of our northern clients are experiencing an early winter blast, with bubble coats and boot socks out in full force. Unfortunately, this also marks the beginning of a slower season for their business, as well.

But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything for you to do. 

  1. Get More Reviews: If you send holiday cards, gifts, or greetings, include a note asking for a review of your business, or even a follow-up email asking if they got your gift with a passive review reminder.
  2. Improve Your Processes: This is also a great time for staff training and process review. Critically review your business and make a solid plan to take care of those items you never seem to have time to handle.
  3. Get Involved: The holidays are also a great time for community involvement and networking. While business is a little slower, you have more opportunity to make connections for the new year. Make your business a drop-off for toy donations or canned foods, or support/sponsor a local theater production to increase your brand awareness within your community.

“Slow” seasons are just as important to your business as the busy ones. They allow you to breathe, regroup, and get it together for the upcoming year so that it can be even better than the one before. We deliver leads year round, and will continue to send you leads for your business throughout the holiday season, so don’t check out entirely!

Shout-out to Matt from Engaging Signs in Raleigh, NC

While all businesses get wrong number calls from time to time, we were very impressed with the way that Matt handled one such call.

Instead of simply saying “You’ve got the wrong number, lady” he turned it around and began laying the foundation for a relationship.  He let her know that she had found the wrong sign company, but immediately offered his services and reaffirmed his desire to work for her throughout the call.

Matt discovered she was not pleased with her current signage provider and the caller was excited to have found such a helpful resource. Matt was able to get her contact information to send an introduction and ended the call by assuring her that they would be there for her for all of her future signage needs.
